At the Third Ministerial Meeting of the Community of Democracies, the Democracy Coalition Project, the Center for American Progress, and other members of the NGO Coalition organized a press briefing where human rights and democracy leaders encouraged the Community of Democracies to endorse UN Secretary General Kofi Annan's call for a Human Rights Council at the UN.
